Hotel information counters to further promote tour programmes

The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has set up information counters at six local hotels and integrated resorts to further promote Macao Highlight Tours tailored for visitors, and the local tours under the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” programme.

The counters allow visitors and residents to ask questions and sign up for the tours, which are an enhancer of tourism’s revival.

The counters were officially opened on 1 August at the Grande Praça of MGM Macau, Business Center of Wynn Palace, Lobby of Studio City, Lobby of Grand Lisboa, ground floor (near Tastes of Asia) of Galaxy Macau, and West Lobby of The Venetian Macao. Opening hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Counters to sign up visitors

Tended by staff with experience in tourism, the counters afford visitors and residents the opportunity to ask about the prices, departure dates and itinerary details of Macao Highlight Tours and the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” local tours. People can also sign up for the tours at the counters.

MGTO hopes to further promote Macao Highlight Tours and the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” local tours through the information counters. The tours are designed to attract visitors to local communities for travel and spending, in turn reviving Macao’s tourism industry and economy.

“Stay, Dine and See Macao” local tours, spur demand

The Macao SAR Government created the “2021 Scheme for Employment Security, Economic Stabilisation and Care for Residents’ Livelihood” in March. “Stay, Dine and See Macao” encompasses local tours and hotel staycations targeting residents.

The project to support the local travel trade, while offering initiatives for residents to enjoy Macao’s tourism infrastructure, runs until the end of December 2021. The local tours under the “Stay, Dine and See Macao”, which were suspended on 4 August because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and related control measures, are slated to resume soon.

Macao Highlight Tours, experience “Tourism+”

With encouragement from MGTO, the travel trade launched Macao Highlight Tours in May. The tours are tailored for visitors to experience Macao’s profound history, cultural landscape and “Tourism+” elements.

Among the themed itineraries are “Amazing one-day tour with MAK MAK” and “Private helicopter charter ride”. Tour participants can enjoy interactive communication and relish different highlights offered by the tours.
