MGTO to Hold 2018 Annual Marketing Meeting

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will hold the MGTO 2018 Annual Marketing Meeting from 19th to 21st June in Macao, with MGTO's market representatives, personnel of the Macao Special Administrative Region's delegations as well as a PR consultant attending to discuss marketing promotion strategies.

On the first day of the Meeting, MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes will update attendees on Macao's latest tourism trends, the line-up of events for the remainder of the year as well as important emerging MGTO projects. She will also map out directions in terms of marketing strategy so that representatives' market promotions can dovetail with Macao's tourism development and its overarching goal to develop the city into a world centre of tourism and leisure.

MGTO representatives will make presentations about the results achieved in the work conducted over the past year, report on the progress of ongoing projects and discuss the marketing plan for the year ahead. During the meeting MGTO leaders plus department and division heads will exchange views with overseas representatives about their work and future marketing plans.

Over the years, MGTO, together with MGTO's market representatives, the Macao Special Administrative Region's delegations and PR consultant have promoted Macao tourism and provided the latest tourism information in diverse source markets, with promotional activities including organising mega promotional events, joining travel fairs, holding travel marts and seminars, arranging familiarisation trips to Macao as well as promotions through traditional channels, online and social networking platforms, and so forth.

Currently, MGTO promotes Macao all over the world with the help of MGTO representatives, the Macao Special Administrative Region's delegations and PR consultants in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan region, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand, Portugal, the UK and Ireland, Russia and the USA.
