Macau Pass Increases Convenience for Visitors

Macau Pass has launched embedded chips offering registration services

Macau Pass held a press conference to launch several innovative services in December. It introduced a co-branded transport card in partnership with Alipay, whereby mainland Chinese tourists can purchase the card via Alipay mobile application on their phones before entering Macau and pick the card up at designated venues like Macau International Airport, ports, and other convenient locations.

The company also launched a brand new Macau Pass with embedded chips that can offer services such as registration, report of loss and automatic added value service.

The new Macau Pass, now on sale, is expected to replace the original version in three years.

In addition, Macau Pass introduced a mobile App that would allow users to check their balance on Android-powered devices with NFC function.

Macau Government Tourist Office Deputy Director Cecilia Tse and Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute President Cheong Chou Weng attended the launch event.
