CNTA Chairman visits Macau

Macau SAR Government inks agreement with China National Tourism Administration

China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) Chairman Li Jinzao met Macau SAR Chief Executive Chui Sai On in Macau on 2nd June. During his visit, an agreement was signed between CNTA and the Macau SAR Government for the setting up of a joint working committee on tourism to support Macau's aspirations to build a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.

The purpose of the agreement is to promote the transformation of Macau into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure. The content of the agreement includes the establishment of a Joint Tourism Work Commission, codification of work regulations, uniting advertising and promotion, exchange and co-operation between the Mainland and Macau, industry management, policy studies and research, and regional co-operation, etc.

The signing of the agreement, was followed by a seminar, in the afternoon, when the leaders of the two sides, joined by experts and scholars, exchanged views on the topic of how to speedily boost the building up of Macau into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure under the current circumstances.
