The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) recently released its International Meetings Market 2017 Report, revealing that Macao had jumped up the rankings in several areas for the second consecutive year. The city is now ranked 65th worldwide and occupies 16th place in Asia Pacific.

The latest Report recognises 39 international meetings held in Macao, two more than in 2016. In terms of worldwide city ranking, Macao is positioned 65th, up seven places compared to 72nd in 2016. As for ranking in Asia Pacific, Macao climbed one place to 16th, ahead of Geneva, Switzerland; Brisbane, Australia; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Busan and Jeju, South Korea thus demonstrating that Macao is attracting an increasing number of global convention activities and participants.

ICCA is one of the world's foremost conference organisations, with a membership of more than 1100, which includes governmental organisations, exhibition related companies and convention centres in approximately 100 countries and regions worldwide.
