Two PATA Gold Awards go to Macao Tourism Industry

On 18th July the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) announced the list of 34 winning entries for the 2018 PATA Grand and Gold Awards. Among the awarded entities this year Melco Resorts & Entertainment's Studio City' Dinosaur Hunt, Macau' is the winner of the Gold Award for Marketing - Hospitality, while MGM Macau's 'Making Great Moments in the Community' picked up the Gold Award for Corporate Social Responsibility.

MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said that this year's PATA Gold Awards winners presented yet another wide array of remarkable accomplishments in the different branches of the tourism industry. MGTO was thus honoured to help facilitate this PATA Awards programme, which for over two decades has brought so many exceptional contributions into the spotlight, inspiring tourism stakeholders throughout the Asia Pacific region to build a vibrant, sustainable tourism industry.

This year's Awards attracted 200 entries from 87 organisations and individuals worldwide. PATA CEO Mario Hardy added his congratulations to the 2018 PATA Grand and Gold Award winners and all of this year's participants for their submissions, adding that they exemplify the true values of the Association in working towards a more responsible travel and tourism industry in the Asia Pacific region.

Meanwhile, PATA Travel Mart 2018 will be held in Langkawi, Malaysia on 14th September, during which the PATA Gold Awards Luncheon and Awards Ceremony will take place, recognising the achievements of 27 separate organisations and individuals.These Awards, generously sponsored for 23 years by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), commend winning tourism entities and individuals for their remarkable achievements in a variety of categories.
