2018 Wushu Masters Challenge Kicks Off this Month

One of the territory's major annual sporting events - the 2018 Wushu Masters Challenge - will be held from 2nd to 5th August in various venues throughout Macao, assembling wushu masters from the territory and from around the world to compete against each other and share their experiences in practicing wushu, bringing the most stunning wushu performances to residents and visitors.

For the first time, the four-day programme includes the 2018 FISU World University Wushu Championship, and 'Belt and Road' Dragon and Lion Dance Invitational Tournament. Regular programmes include the International Taolu Competition, Sanda Challenger Competition, Wushu Summer Carnival, Wushu and Dragon and Lion Dance Parade, and Closing Extravaganza.

Various activities will be held alternately in several venues around Macao; namely, Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion, Macao Forum, Olympic Sports Centre Stadium - Indoor Pavilion, Tap Seac Square, and Iao Hon Market Garden.

In order to fully support the 2018 Wushu Masters Challenge the 2018 IBF Silk Road Champions Tournament Finals organised by the International Boxing Federation Belt and Road Region (IBF B&R) will be held during the event on 5th August at Wynn Palace, where world class boxers will gather in Macao to fight for the honour of lifting IBF B&R gold belts.
