Air Macau Adds Flights, Destinations with new A3210neo

To further upgrade its services, Air Macau has purchased nine A320neo and A321neo aircraft from Airbus, six of which will be delivered this year. The first A320neo ‘Friendship’ model - unveiled on 29th April - will service the Macao to Japan and East Asia routes. Air Macau has announced that the new aircraft will be used for extra flights, with new route destinations developed depending upon the delivery schedule of the planes.

Air Macau plans to increase extra flights for existing routes. Flights to Tokyo will be increased to two per day commencing July, while the airline is also contemplating additional flights for the Osaka and Bangkok routes. Air Macau is also striving to be among the very first airline companies to use Beijing Daxing International Airport by end-2019, with extra flights serving Nanjing and Chengdu being closely examined. Air Macau is also exploring the possibility of seasonal flights to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Sapporo by the end of the year or early 2020.

‘Friendship’ is the first A320neo series aircraft to be registered in Macao, and incorporates the very latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver at least 15 per cent fuel savings, and reduce noise, maintenance and repair expenditure. Travelling further than the old models, the new A320neo can fly from Macao to Sapporo in the north, to Delhi and Mumbai in the west, and to Indonesia in the south.
