With ink cascading through the history and art of Chinese culture, the Huayuan exhibition - taking place in MGM Cotai from 7th June to 3rd September - reminds us that the essence of Chinese creativity is both preserved and progressed, enabling the observer to experience the beauty of ink and its myriad possibilities.

A Metamorphosis: No End to End, by Wen Ma, takes ink to a subliminal level. This specially created multimedia masterpiece maximises the space in The Spectacle, demonstrating the diversity of ink using natural, sculptural and virtual textures via three installation operas in one act, with Paradise Interrupted in MGM Theatre the grand finale.

Meanwhile, Yang Youngliang’s Journey to the Dark II harnesses technology and videography to showcase the transformation of Chinese ink via a digital landscape painting.
